Can anyone report if the stock iPhone headset will work w/ N800? My headset that came with the n800....got ruined and cannot seem to get a new one yet...so I'm looking for an alternative....need the mic...and it needs to be 3.5mm....I'm open to other ideas...

In my experience the internal mic on n800 is really good. Just plug normal headphones and put n800 on the table. it will pickup your voice just fine.

But in a bar, a bone conducting headset would be incredibly useful i'm sure... :/

The only headset solution I have found is to pick up a 4 conductor 3.5 mm head phone jac. Then I bought a cell phone head set. I prefer the jarba units. I thencut of the jarba end and solder on the new connector. The mic and headset work great. headset cost $30.00 conector $4.00
Time to conver is about 15 minutes.
