No mate those aren't the ones I'm looking for - I'm looking for ones like Conky, fCamera, HDR Capture, Lowlight, Xterm etc ad nauseum!!! These appear to be more of the icons that go into the main menu screen, rather than the ones shown on the desktop....
What I have found easiest when modifying icons is to copy the hicolor folder to my desktop via ssh & scp.
Its then easy to browse the different folders for the icons you want to replace or modify.
Then when happy I copy back to the hicolor folder on my N900, alternativley you could use Cute Explorer as this will open the .png files on your n900 so you can view there contents, this does take longer though!
If you mean iPhone icons that is because they are very easy to get for the 1st try.
Actually you are free to use any icons with any size. I plan to find some very neat icons and redo with more icons=)
The reason I chose iphone icons is because they look great and are large and very useful for accessing applications easily when N900 is in the car windscreen mount.
