    Great work! Thank you

and if it isnt mentioned earlier.... moving the map with you finger is done by first "starting" the mouse. -You know, swipe finger from far left edge of screeen into the screen itself.

    Hello guys...

I guess there is a problem with My coding or the geolocation of N900.

You have to tap twice on My Location (Home) icon to get your own location.

    This is great.

Would it be possible to add the traffic layer too?

The desktop version of Google maps polls your location every few seconds, so that it follows your position. The button is an on-off switch. Maybe that would help?
It could also solve the accuracy problem (I'm speculating here); during the first poll, accuracy may not yet be very good, perhaps it has only had a network position, so updating would be useful.

Edit: By the way, if I search for Pizza after zooming to my current location in Holland, I get a nice place in San Francisco as a result

I live in San Francisco bay area. I searched and got 7-11 in Las Vegas and KFC in New York. Same result every time.

Can you try tapping ur location first. (the home button) twice. and than try searching it.

Let me know if it works.

coz the thing is if you just provide a store name. it does not know whaer to search but if it already knows your location it will try to first search near by items

    Thanx for the input.

This can not work offline. coz the map data is from google. and it need internet connection to get map data.

The turn by turn voice can be done in future updates. I'll try to test it

You could put the less used controls beneath the main window, invisible at start, and one can scroll down if they're needed.
