Hello,
since the n900 video driver doesn't support vSync and there is no way to get rid of the tearing when scrolling menus for e.g. contacts ,I was wondering if there is a way to make the scroll in all the menus like the scroll inside the media player ( without the fancy animations) that way we can get rid of the tearing problem or at least hide it like what many of us did with editing the transition.ini file.

I don't have any tearing in my contact list, not even when facebook tries to dump in hundreds of entries.

For sure it's not a terribly smooth scrolling experience, but no tearing for me.

By tearing do you mean in the traditional sense something like this - or some other kind of tearing?

I tend to just use the keyboard to search out the contacts I want though.

It just doesn't happen in contacts ,in email as well when you reach the end of the list whether its in contacts or any scrolling menu .... thats what i mean by tearing.
