Even with the red eye reduction on I now get glowing orange eyes in a large number of my pictures instead of the usual red. It is frustrating and is almost ruining my pictures.

Can anyone suggest anything to help?

How many pre-flash you got with red eye reduction on?

I am not sure how to check on the phone but I counted 4 pre-flashes before the main flash with red eye reduction on.

you have to choose

1. don't use the flash

2. move it away from the lens. 10cm ought to be enough

3. post-process images

you really can't prevent red eyes no matter how much the flash blinks if it is too close to the lens

And fixing red eye is CRAZY easy with Win Vista or 7. Just open the picture with Windows 'Live' picture viewer and click the fix tab! There is a option for 'fix red eye'. Takes a little time but will fix your devil pictures easily
