No error but I'm fairly sure it did not mount correctly as the next step just extract the tar to the /and folder and so it runs out of space.

I think perhaps I have done something to busybox some time ago that is messing with it. Oh well...no droid today.
If the partition is definately mounted and you have cd to /and when you extract, try
    Code:
    rm -rf *
to make sure it is empty.

    9.3MB/s (50MB / 512kB) and 2.5MB/s (4kB) on the internal 32GB.

I'll have to get my 4GB Class 4 back out, I think it's faster. Has anyone successfully booted off of repartitioned internal memory? Can it even be done?

Anyone care to share some card speeds versus performance?
Got home and tested my 4GB card, roughly 33% faster than the 8GB, just slightly slower than the 32GB built-in.

nitdroid is much much faster on the 4GB card, slight lags here and there, but almost no force quit / wait windows popping up anymore (at stock speeds) I'll OC to 805 (just like maemo) and it should be pretty fast. More playing with it later tonight.

Thanks for all the hard work and help.

There's a few people expiriencing this when installing NITdroid that it gets extracted on the native phone 256mb rootfs. Just cd to /and - and then rm -rf * and do the steps again

finally: dont forget to umount android partition:
    umount /dev/mmcblk1p2

i get the following "error": cannot umount /and: Device or Ressource is busy.

i waited a few minutes but the error still comes up. What shall i do now?

You have to re extract the nitdroid .tar. Just repeat step 6 again.

This is what it looks like on my N900 right now. It has been like this for 20mins already.

    DO THIS IN ROOT:
    Code:
    mount /dev/mmcblk1p2 /and
    cd /and
    rm -rf *
    tar xvf /home/user/MyDocs/NITDroid-N900-the-flying-world.tar
That was posted in the earlier post!!!!

    Try to re-extract the rootfs...

Just do these steps again as root:

    mount /dev/mmcblk1p2 /and
    cd /and
    rm -rf *
    tar xvf /home/user/MyDocs/NITDroid-N900-the-flying-world.tar

    Hope that helps
