Hi, im a n00b with anything on this phone all ino is i think ive installed a application that is constantly running my processes too a 100% and using170MB of ram, I have googled how to get some sort of running process list up in xterm and this is my copy and paste of that list below if it helps.

Can somebody please help me, I really dont want to have to reset my phone!!

hildon-input. Try to uninstall programs that are related to input (3rd party virtual keyboards. etc)

hi can anyone help?

the only app i thought of with a virtual keyboard was vertSMS and i uninstalled it and restarted my phone and my CPU was really low and hildon-input wasnt in xterm when i did the 'top'


now all of a sudden its slowed down and my cpu is at a constant 100 percent and i cant open my symbols with pressing the blue arrow and the Sym button? also hildon-input is now back in the cpu processes.

what other apps contain it? or can i manually remove or stop it?

You can 'kill' hildon-input in Terminal via 'kill PID' where PID is the process number from top/ps, but i dont know if this will help and even for what hildon-input realy is needed.

I tried to kill it but it just re-appears in xterm so im assuming a program is using it. is there anyway i can get a list of installed applications in a text file from xterm to post here so you can tell me which apps contain the hildon-input package?
