There's a fork of Maemo Mapper called (Desktop) Mapper : http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/index....r:Onion/Mapper
It aims to work on the 770 Nokia tablet for the OpenStreetMap project but it seems to work fine on Linux according to the screenshots.
. Yes, it's supposed to work on both normal desktop and tablets.
