Is there any logging or similar that can be turned on to try and diagnose this? Has anyone raised a bug?

Yhh guys you arent alone. I have noticed this as well, Flippin annoying!

I have posted a bug report for it!

get Faster Application Manager

My advice is to download and install faster Application Manager, its much faster then default application manager and works perfectly good.
