After installing the power kernel my phone could no longer see a DD-WRT AP at all (Two WRT160NLs running DD-WRT v24-sp2), even after deleting the existing connection settings and rebooting. I could still see and connect to other APs. Reinstalling the stock kernel fixed everything. I've found one other mention of the same problem:
What version are you running? I wonder if it might be a problem with DD-WRT v24-sp2. That's the version both me and apolkosnik were having trouble with.

I'm running v24-SP2 here (SVN revision 13525 std) and I'm not having any problems.
The only thing unusual about the setup here is that there are multiple APs with the same SSID so that you can roam across them as you move around. Apart from that it's all pretty normal settings.
I use DD-WRT v24 with WPA2-AES client bridged to a router running Tomato 1.27 - with no issues whatsoever. Seamless roaming between the 2 routers with different BSSID. The WAN-connected router controls everything (DHCP, DNS etc) and the bridge simply forwards requests. I enable SSID broadcast, however.
