    dislike

    no lens cover
dual LED (was hoping for xenon)
    1320 (was hoping for 1500+
    spacebar placement
want physical menu / call / end keys on front face

    hope:

    64+ gb storage
    wireless-N
    optional 1500+ battery (Mugen?)

hopes achieved could well override dislikes.

Hopefully the keyboard is better than the n97. It looks similar but if it doesn't have much travel they should not have bothered with the keyboard at all... The N900 KB is already barely acceptable

The silver makes it look "prototypy" and unpainted. Edges are sharper than the n8 which had better looking edges but they are conscious device is too long as it is I bet. It probably looks better closed when in the hand. Spacing in KB means a lot more travel and the keys look quite recessed not domed. I am happy with the spacebar placement.

I would still say its a quantum leap from the n900 though. Especially as the 'air' thinness looks quite revolutionary for a qwerty.

GSMarena have it down as a 640*360 Super Amoled. Hopefully it will be higher than that.

I'm puzzled what you want in the end:

    - DRM supported -> not open enough

    - DRM disabled because you reflashed a custom image -> bad as well

Supporting DRM doesn't make anything less open - it means you have a feature you can use if you want. If you don't want to use the drm feature, live like you lived with N900.

Trust me, having DRM / trusted platform enabler will mean more software to be available for the device, with zero damage to open ecosystem. Unless you count pirates as part of open ecosystem...

Last I read was, the idea was you can run a non-DRMed version that lets you do whatever you want but then you don't have access to DRMed apps.
Dont forget that adobeflash is also NOT open. also GFX drivers is probadly not fully open.

But I have no problem with the fact that everyting is not fully open cause better have a mobilecomputer that has most what we want than a halfdone :-)

So the RX-71 that's as old name as RX-51(N900) gets back again inside this bug report. There where lots of rumours and what not about it before N900 announcement.

While i'm all for the qwerty would be cool if the rumoured non qwerty version of N9 would end up looking like the design by community challenge where in the end after all the specs Nokia made mockup of how they device might look like.

So, do we think this is a Harmattan or Meego device? I'm tempted to skip Harmattan devices as they've been Osbourned by Meego. I hope Nokia do too ...
