I'm sure if you'd like to develop a 'final' twitter app, it would be well received.

Witter, TweeGo and Khweeteur are the 3 apps I have tried till now. None of them are perfect.

I have published my comparison between Witter and TweeGo in my blog and a review about Khweeteur.

I do not know how painful it is to develop, there are so many other great apps in n900, why this is still not perfect??

    Hey all

I have used everything from Witter to Contacts, unfortunately the latest Witter build has gone a bit pants, TweeGo is not there yet.

The best so far is www.tweetgo.net, a web app but looks amazing and is quick, no geo local or twitpic though

Next is Hahlo.com, amazing implementation, another web app also, features inline replys, inline pics and video in the tweets themselves and geolocal, but just not have snazzy WP7 looking at Tweetgo.net

    Check them out

We have Twitter Widget from Nokia. Itīs a basic app, just like the Foursquare widget.

This widget had some problems. It was consuming 100% of CPU. Nokia has already fixed it, but only who had this widget on the phone, has received the update throught app manager. Nokia will probably put it on Ovi Store again soon.

Maukuīs creator seems to have quit the project. I hope his still alive...

TweeGo has the best design and its creators seems to be very happy with the project. I think we will have many updates of this program.

Tweetgo.net is really cool. Greate design! But itīs a web based app (http)... For many users this is not a problem, but for me.. it is.

Witter is a very complete app. Maybe the most complete of all. It doesnīt have a great design like TweeGo, but it does has almost all the features we need.

As you can see, we still donīt have an app as good, as complete and with a great design, like Gravity in Symbian phones. Unfortunately, @janole donīt seems to have any plans to port Gravity do Maemo, but maybe to MeeGo.. who know?

Thatīs why I still have an Nokia E71 that I carry with me all the time together with Nokia N900

Because everyone use twitter differently .... For example ... i just need a unified tweet view, with people i follow, dm, and mention ... and a search to see what people say about something ... (and i didn't like having too much button on screen and also having multiple window).

Some considers that tweego have the better ui ... well it s just a matter of choice. Personnally i hate it

It s not really painfull but just boring ...

So this small things like the too much complexity ot witter ... the slowness and interface of tweego, mauku isn't working on my twitter account for an unknow reason. I made my own soft : Khweeteur ... it s far from beeing user ready : unified view with twitter/identi.ca, email notification style, and search ... . But search isn't working well currently.

    May fav is witter.
I always try the extras-devel version as I like the new features dwould is adding to it, but if I had to rely on it to get in touch with friends etc I'd just get it from extras-testing (that one seems very stable).

mainly i am using witter. my 2nd choice is tweego. what impress me the most is the ability of n900 built-in browser to run powertwitter script. i use powertwitter when i want to view all the photos without having to open another browser. and it works for video too!!
