Use the + and - keys on the keybord. Mine takes 2 + to get in perfect sync.

I love TVC on my n900 but the only thing I have a problem with is how to get out of it. I can't shut it down. I have been randomly pressing keys on the keyboard and it closes eventually but I have no idea what keys I press.

Press f to exit full screen mode then press the x.It will automatically close xterm.
Or install Camkeyd to use the camera key to get back to dashboard.
