    Hey;
    I already tried google and maemo talk forum search but I'm unable to find the boot screen video I'm looking for. But I'm 101% sure it was postet here.
    It was a video with the maemo logo. It was in colors orange black white and there were some balls around. The author also did some color variations.

    So if anyone knows what I mean please tell me
    If you find it with an search engine tell me what keywords you used

    Sorry

    I don't know what you are referring to but I posted a few days ago about disabling the start up song (with the handshake) as well as the vibration that occurs during startup. someone said "have you searched for boot video".

    I did a site search and a search via application manager....still don't know how to disable this stuff.

    Lots of info about boot screens here

    There is an app to change or randomise the boot screen - read about it here

    ok not much to read about but I downloaded the app. I can only find it and start it fromthe command line. I clicked remove the default file and save but it does not appear to do anything. The vibrate (I have no idea if getting rid of the start video would remove that) and the video are still there on restart.

    You configure it in Settings. It doesn't change the initial vibrate, suspect that you need to disable haptic for that to disappear. Might be worth reading the very interesting thread in the first link - lots of info there.
