Ok So the it has been confirmed that there will be a T-Mobile G2 http://g2.t-mobile.com/. All sources seem to indicate that the recently leaked HTC Vision is the T-Mobile G2. Other sources here http://www.mobilecrunch.com/2010/08/...f-your-dreams/.
    Specs for the Vision Include
    • 1ghz Snapdragon
    • Ram is unknown but probably is 576mb or 512mb
    • Four Row Physical Qwerty Keyboard
    • Camera is Unknown
    • Android 2.1 (atleast in the prototype) without HTC Sense
    • 3.7″ 480 x 800 Capacitive Touchscreen
    • HSPA+ if it turns out to be the G2
I have to say if it had the camera from the HTC Droid incredible it would be perfect. I have comes to like the qwerty keyboards on HTC devices quite a lot usually much better than the ones from Nokia or Motorola. The device seems pretty good I hope more info is leaked.

If this is real and on T-Mobile it would certainly give the MyTouch 3g Slide a run for the money.

I don't know. They don't look like keys I've seen on any other Android systems. Judging by the icons on them (three boxes, with one of each box enlarged in each one), my guess is that maybe it's for navigating something? Maybe to make switching desktops easier or something? Seems silly, if they are.

Is the keyboard flush with the screen? I like a lot (or maybe this setup is common and I don't know about it).

I hadn't even noticed that--you might be right. Instead of just sliding up and down, it looks like it might lift off the keyboard and then sit flush over it? Interesting.

More info has been leaked about the phone it has essentially been confirmed that the HTC Vision is the T-Mobile G2. My source is from here http://www.digitaltrends.com/mobile/...know/?news=123 and here http://911sniper.blog.163.com/blog/s...1072511210617/.
    Some more leaked specs specs
    • Operating System - Android 2.2 without HTC Sense which in my opinion is beautiful looking but is more trouble than it is worth and the regular Android user experience is just fine.
    • Processor - 1ghz Qualcomm Scorpion which has amazing capabilities such as 720p recording and decoding, 5.1-channel surround sound output, and support for cameras up to 12 megapixels.
    • Camera - The spec of the camera is unknown but it being as the HTC Scorpion is capable of 720p video recording and playback and the fact that the device comes with Android 2.2 which has 720p recording and playback it should have that feature
    • Screen 3.7 inches 800x480 Capacitive I think it would be safe to the screen is Amoled.
    • Full slide out 4 row qwerty keyboard.
Also all sources indicate that the device will launch on September 29th. I have to say this one of the most leaked phones ever. Also something interesting is that the screen tilts like it does on the HTC Touch Pro 2 or Nokia n97. All it needs is an 8mp camera with dual led flash and then it could truly compete with the likes of the Nokia n9 or Samsung Galaxy S.
