Whats up with the stupid replies!

I also have the damn problem! When the alarm sounds and wakes the n900 from deep sleep it will crash or react terrible slow. this morning the alarm kept running and the screen was on but werent albe to shut it off. holding the power button for 10 seconds didn't do anything. i had to pull the battery out.

What the hell is this!!! cant nokia even make an alarm work right! wtf !! come on we allready had several updates this damn problem should have been fixed by now! same with the phone app wich has the exact same annoying problem. Where the f&%# is PR1.3!!!

There is a bug report for this - looks a bit quiet now so might be good if you add some details and hopefully get it moving again.

Might be worth your while looking at some of the timed profile apps available (can't remember any at the moment) - install one and get the profile to change to a full, normal profile (online) about 10 minutes before the alarm is due. That might wake the system up and give it time for a cuppa before it has to do its next job. Worth a try.

I found that this bugs occurs for me when I hit "Turn off" as soon as the screen displays the alarm notification. Turning the alarm off before 1 or 2 rings makes the phone disabled, and the alarm does not turn off.

However If i let the alarm ring at least once (the tone) and then turn it off - no problem.

    Odd but thats the behaviour.

So maybe try an alarm sound with a slow fade in - until the bug's fixed anyway. I have a slow wake up sound so that may be why I've never experienced this issue.

This happened to me this morning. My alarm went off so I snoozed it. It went off again so I went to get up and turn it off and I couldnt. Dropped the battery out left it 5-10mins and started it up again.

At first the screen wasnt working at all. But then after leaving it for 30mins I could type my pin in but it was very delayed sort of 1min between me pressing the number and the phone registering it. Now the phone is unuseable unless I plug in a USB device then it will work for a min or two. After that the phone just register's I pressed something i.e. will highlight the button. But wont press it to activatie it.

At first I thought the screen was buggered, but after testing the screen is fine and will respond normally.

Will attempt to reflash the N900 tonight and see if this solves it.

Have same problem here for a couple of days now: when the phone was not used for some time (hour or so) and then it wakes up because alarm or incoming email sound, the phone screen becomes totally unresponsive. Worst: I can not accept phone calls.

Only help so far is restarting the phone - sometimes I have to restart several times before I can type in my pin. Really annoying.

Well I flashed my device last night. Left it over night and tried to use it this morning. All worked fine for about 5mins. Replied to a few texts and all that but now its gone again. I can only think that something must be wrong with the screen so im going to send it back to nokia for a repair.
