I believe there is 10 gazzilion threads like this, but mine is a bit strange.

I had problems with my router recently so changed a few settings here and there and ran in to problems with my N900. If connects to the AP, has internet access for a minute or so, and then just drops, can't ping router, nothing. Can it be because I changed the password mode from WPA+WPA2 to WPA, and channel from Auto to 13?

The global firmware supports fewer channels at the top end than, e.g. the UK firmware. With global, my N900 followed my router from chan 6 to chan 12 (IIRC) ok, but then wouldn't reconnect.

BTW, I find your nick ironic in respect of this topic - are you a wifi jammer?

I would use a lower channel as 13 is quite a high channel and i've known it to be a problem with many wifi devices because its close to the frequency channel that a microwave oven uses.
