I've been playing Lynx and PCEngine games with mednafen but having to edit the config file and load games by command line is a bit tedious. Is there anyone willing and able to build a simple frontend so we can use all mednafens features easily? It's a great emulator and works really well already, so getting a GUI would be the icing on the emulated cake!
There is a difference between between being able to start an emulator and having a more or less accurate running emulator. My guess is we where facing the first case.
I have compiled Mednafen myself and played around with the Lynx and NeoGeo Pocket parts. Is was very slow and gave a bad sound quality. I cannot image the PC Engine emulation would have done any better given its specs.
But perhaps someone did some optimisations on it. In that case I would be interested in that code or binary for a possible gui.
