I installed this application http://maemo.org/downloads/product/M...ifi-assistant/
but i cant make it work. I set the name of the network that needs a authentication from the browser, but when i am connected nothing hapens. Is everyone that use this application ?

did you reboot after install? it works for me without any problems.

Hi. I'm the author of this app. Sorry to hear that you needed a reboot. I'll see what I can do to make sure the background job (daemon) is running after installation.
There's been some discussion in the announce thread as well. If you have ideas about improvements or find bugs, please speak up and we'll see what can be done.

I just had a quick look at it and discovered a bug that goes like this:
1. start application
2. add a network
3. the label "No settings ..." is still there
4. quit application
5. start application
6. the label is gone and instead shows the network added in step two


The way I use it (and intended it to be used) is to never really add a network manually - as soon as you connect to a new network, you get a popup asking you what to do.
If you're connected to a network when you install the application, you'll get a popup right away and you'll never see the "No settings ..." label.

Anyway, I'll have this fixed in the next release. Thanks for bringing it to my attention!

Hmm. That might just be another bug, sorry. :P
You still got me to remove one bug, so that's good.
