Ok. There is a few ways.
1.1. Try adding the software repositories listed on maemo.org( http://maemo.
org/community/wiki/applicationrepositories/ ) to your application manager (as an
Application catalogue) as most of what you want will be found there. Repo's are where
you typically get stuff in Debian-like linux.
2. To install from the net they need a 'one click install', otherwise if you are given the option of downloading a file, try for .deb files as this is what app manager will install from file.

dont understand a few things..
HOw do i install apps from the maemo site under the download section. What am i suppose to do. Am i suppose to download it from my n800. The extensions are .br
Really confused. Obviously im not a linux user but i would love to know how to do it.
I would really appreciate any help or advice on this.
