never tried mauku, didn't liked witter's ui. tweego has the twitter feel and the ui is good. it just need more features as it's so limited...
i don't know if tweego is phishing prone as i was required to change my password for the 4th time now since i only open my twitter using tweego most of the time. i need to logout rather than just close the app to prevent it from happening...
i think this must be harder than we can imagine, i remember gravity since i was one of the testers on that app, and look what it has become.
But at the very beginning looks a lot like witter... so is just a matter of time, i know we are a year after, but anyway we are not doing them so we cant judge...
i think maybe they should do a non-free app, i'll pay for it, if it works great and is what i need...
Witter is not complex and is the best thing out there, though there are any number of attractive web-based options. Witter has lately gone a bit pants, as someone commented (what does it mean, anyway?) but that's because its developer is ceaselessly curious and trying to find better ways to do things. We're lucky to have him.
What Witter really lacks is a way of saving searches, like Twitter au naturale has. But many of the other frequently praised apps don't even HAVE a way to search, which is disgusting, unacceptable, and the developers should be shot. (well, maybe I'm going a bit overboard <g>)
Twitter OAuth is new and its pretty useful. I read actually that twitter is making it required for all apps but it is pretty convenient to have anyways
