Hi all,

I'm using 12voip to call to phone abroad. this works very well. call quality is high and the price is low. however when I try to call to another computer that has12voip installed the other end and I get no audio. Is this a common problem, or does it have to with my settings?
I'm using it over wifi.

adress: username@12voip.com
password: password

advanced settings:
use for phonenumbers: ticked
Transport: I tried auto and udp
Outbound proxy: sip.12voip.com
Port: 5060
Discover public address: ticked
Loose routing: unticked
Keep-alive mechanism: Options
Keep-alive period: Auto
Auto-detect STUN: ticked

furthermore chat over sip doesn't seem to work, neither does it import the contacts like skype is able to do. but that is not a big problem

You are using it with wifi, so it is possible that you are behind NAT. What makes the situation more complicated is that your contact is also behind a NAT. A STUN server cannot solve this problem when the firewalls are symmetric.
You can prove this by examining the SIP signalling between the peers and checking the SDP parameters and you will see what addresses and ports were agreed for RTP transport.

it's a bug.
