as im sure so many of you know, there is an app on the android OS that allows for the saving of the barcodes from those annoying yet necessary keyring barcode thingys for stores like CVS here in the The States as well as our various gyms and whatnot.....

anyone know of a similar app for our beloved n900?

thx

Have you tried creating a folder, and then photographing the card's barcodes in macro mode? and then scanning the images instead of the card?

dunno where you are, but here Tesco do a clubcard (loyalty card) app for symbian with a virtual card which has not worked in any of the Tescos I visited, although the number was correct as it pulled back my details from their servers correctly.

i work in tesco, and the first person who pulls out an iphone / android, hunts for the app starts it up and points it in my direction in the hope i'm going to scan it instead of a clubcard, will be having several security tags planted about their shopping and i shall personally insist upon a cavity search when the beepers at the door go off.

you have been warned.
