I had this problem with a screen protector I was using. If it happens again and you use a screen protector it might be worth temporarily removing to see if it's the cause.

I get all sorts of randomness with my handset at times. Had a mega crash today after using CloudGPS. Couldn't disconnect the GPS or the GPRS connection and couldn't get rid of the CloudGPS screen. Ended up restarting and was shocked to find that the battery had gone from 60+% down to 15%.
