    As promised here we go
Transmission is ready to hit the road.
I was trying to make a deb for the repos, but it gives me errors about not having a file that was used a view seconds before
Will have a look @ this later this week.
Here some random pics of the way better looking build :

And here comes the installer script.
This script also removes the junk from my previous work, and then installs Transmission 2.04.

Steps (most same as last one):

    1. Get the Installer from here : Installer

    2. Unzip it, and put the files (install.sh & qtrans2.04 folder) in the same folder on your N900 via usb,or use FileBox to do it direct on the N900.
I've used the download folder in MyDocs. You can create even a new folder if you like to.

    3. Open Terminal and type root
!!! root can harm your N900, even brick it, if you do something wrong !!!

    4. Change to the directory where you put the two files. cd /path/to/files/...
    (cd /home/user/Mydocs/download, in my case)

    5. Type sh install.sh and wait for the script to be done.

    6. Close Terminal

If you dislike something, or find a bug, keep it coming

Have you fixed the issue of high cpu usage? Can we use the phone while downloading torrents?

When that happens again, please tell me whats the output when you type qtr in terminal.
I uninstalled all files on my N900 and tested the zip. to see if it works. I hope i did not forget something ......

I see that high cpu just in the beginning, when it creates the space for the torrent you want to download, then cpu is going down again.

    THX Mr. Nice
This error is from not having libevent-1.4-2_1.4.13-stable-1_armel.deb installed on the N900.
File can be found here : http://ftp.debian.org/pool/main/libe...le-1_armel.deb
    Good News:
I managed to make a deb, so hopefully i will up Transmission to repos

Odd.... how do you guys install the file ?
I did it under root with dpkg -i libevent-1.4-2_1.4.13-stable-1_armel.deb and this works. Never installed a deb in a other way

btw. I think it will take a little bit longer to get it to the repos. It takes more than transmission to be compiled.... (libevent-1.4-2) Funny thing is that libevent-1.4-2 is already build in armel, but not in the maemo repos.
So here is the deb : Transmission

libevent-1.4-2 is still needed to be installed to get Transmission to work.
Will hopefully solve this problem soon.
