well if we see certain promotion videos for N900 it shows minimizing the media player while still playing the video. but I find this not the case in actual. The media has to be paused and one has to go one screen back to minimize the media player while playing the video.

Is this a problem or this is how the media player was designed to work in reality and the promos are just misguiding. ??

I know this is an old thread but i am experiencing the same trouble with the FM transmitter. I have only recently got the phone and dont even know where im ment to be typing the code from OPs post, can someone help me please?

Ok read those, got root and now im trying to do the commands in OP

I type the first line and i get
"package 'mediaplayerhomeapplet' is not available
Use dpkg --info (= dpkg-deb --info) to examine archive files.

What am i doing wrong?
