for who not having the files for installing the beta i can upload it ... just tell me ??
why wanna upload it cause it's very very very beta beta only have injection and metasploit (metasploit can run without neopwn in n900 and paying 40 $ just for the injection it's not like what im thinking about OPEN SOURCE so .........
As I mentioned earlier, the licensing situation of the new wlan driver is unclear -- it seems to me (from the description) that it's derived from a GPL-licensed driver, and thus not redistributable except as permitted under the GPL (i.e. with source code included, and under the same license, thus permitting further redistribution.)
However, two rights don't make a wrong, and if the patch is not explicitly released under the GPL or a compatible license, distributing the combination doesn't magically relicense the patch under the GPL, it just means that distribution of a patched driver is copyright infringement, legally exactly the same as "pirating" commercial warez. Similarly, further distribution of the patched driver is equally unlawful -- the GPL doesn't and can't grant you any right to redistribute, since it doesn't apply to the patch, so again, this is exactly the same as sharing warez.
Simply put, it's not "OPEN SOURCE", so what you expected of open source is irrelevant.
Now all that's not to say "don't do it", or to claim that it's necessarily morally wrong (opposed to legally wrong) to do so. I'm quite aware that some people consider copyright laws completely invalid, or at least feel no moral compunction about breaking them, and I've no interest in holy-warring for either side here. Just be aware that that's what you're discussing (and that doing so is probably a violation of these boards' .terms of service, FWIW).
