Hi all,
Got an odd one, well i think its odd.
been running overclocked kernel (used to be 37, but now 40 as im using multiboot for Nitdroid) for quite a while now, using Queen beecon widgets as per Jakiman's (cheers dude!) excellent guide and posts.
i have notice for some time, my N900 can lag quite a lot. and can be very jerky / stuttery. and a lot of the time hangs if a couple of apps open. it also stutters the audio mor SMS and email. (see here ) tho ive started to put up with this annoyance.
BUT, the other day, i noticed everything was running sweet as a nut. nice transitions, fast app opening times, etc. so i went to my widgets to see if it was running at 1ghz
to my surprise, they wouldnt work, a quick check revealed id accidentally booted into the normal kernel (2.6.28-omap1)
(ive got multiboot installed, Nitdroid, 2.6.28-omap1 & 2.6.28power40)
My question is, why does it run so bad in stock mode when overclocked, as runs better on stock kernel? 850mhz isnt much better really. do you think its a voltage issue?
how can i alter the voltage levels for my 3 preset beecon buttons?
any thoughts appreciated
Cheers
