How to change the default calendar view?

Same here, I have no use for such a view.

But I still would like to change the setting for the widget itself, if anyone has any ideas, please share

I always use the month view...

there is a widget in extras/testing (I think) called "calendar home widget".
This widget has the same appearance as the default but has some extra settings like opening in month view.
