I would wait at least a few days before expecting much. Probably a bit longer.

I would expect there to be some rapid movement on getting linux running, which I know is not everyone's priority but it's interesting to the linux crowd - for a start this hack gives better access to the hardware than OtherOS ever did.

But at present there's no (legal) SDK and few tools available, so it will take a little time for a thriving homebrew scene to pop up, IMHO.

well... even with SDK:s the devs cannot make as smooth graphics than with completely inferior x0, ...........it might be too big of a task to come up with something really cool and playable.

I might be wrong but these are my observations (I own wii, ps3 and x0)

Only homebrew application at the moment is the "backup manager". Since you cannot legally have the PS3 SDK without being a Sony approved developer, I wouldn't expect a huge surge of homebrews in the near future.

The jailbreak itself was released for everyone, but using it risks you PSN account and/or console being banned from PSN network. Sony does not and will not approve making game backups using this trick even though you would only create them from the games you own.

Using the backup manager application most certainly will get your console banned from PSN in the near future.

I think the apps might comes later.
But not anytime soon (may be more than months).
First thing I hope to seeing PS1 backup playable via backup manager.
Or backing up all of your download games or contents.

This isn't really related to maemo.org, visiting a PS3 hacking site such as ps3hax.net would be better.
