If you have been following Bugzilla, bugs have been getting closed as "fixed in the next public update" ever since PR1.2 came out. So yes, there will be a PR 1.3. Nobody knows when.

As for the symlink on repository.maemo.org... Note that that's a symlink in *extras*, i.e., in the community repo, not the Nokia one. That symlink could've been made months ago or never made at all, and it wouldn't matter to Nokia either way.

Can we now have some more big handwriting? Makes me feel all tingly for some reason.

so am i right in thinking that maemo, meego and symbian are all qt based therefore it just takes one set of apps, hardware dependant for all 3 which will hopefully mean voice navigation for the N900

Symbian 4 is. Symbian 3 (which I think is what the N8 runs will not).

It's not the OS that's QT compatible (well maemo isn't, and I don't think Symbian is). But they have QT compatibility thus compatible apps can be brought from platform to platform.

Theoretically if they could get into Android and iPhone (with Apple's loosening restrictions) a developer could make an app in QT and output it for everything. =P
