    I am walking with Streak in my pocket and I find it even more comfortable than carrying N900 in the same pocket, regarding its thickness.

    As for the "I would like a dork answering the call with it" superstition.
    I was playing Dungeon Hunter waiting for a train and my wife called. When we finished talking, a guy standing by asked me "How do you answer calls with your playstation". He was really amazed when I explained it's not a PSP and he asked for pricing availability etc.

    I can't speak for Smoku but most of us are on 2.1 now.

    I see no difference in 1.6 or 2.1. For me it's another "I have longer one" contest.

    * Mutitouch
    * Speed - web and 3D parsing
    * Some apps need it
    * Voice control
    * Bluetooth 2.1 support
    * Better eye candy e.g live wallpaer and support for 16m res
    * And of course Flash 10.1 on 2.2
    More than that the streak is a very capable device.

    I am still running 1.6 on my Archos 5 (bought a year ago). 2.2 is ported but still a bit rough.

    Oh yes. Very good argument for 2.1 is that 2.2 has Flash...

    Speed? I see no difference to 1.6.
    3D? I see no difference to 1.6.

    I finally moved to 2.1 because some apps (Gameloft games) required this (multitouch).
    But it's not much of an upgrade for me. Basically no difference.

    I am enjoying Skyfire browser at the moment. Its really great.

    Repligo is the best PDF reader I have found but its still very primitive compared to iphone readers.

    Wyse pocket cloud for remote desktop.

    Thanks for the heads up. I had been using DataViz for PDF which is excellent but doesn’t remember the last page. Repligo does so it is now my default reader.

    I do miss not having access to the iPhone App Store

    This is probably the most compelling reason to upgrade, a case in point is Repligo which requires v2.0 minimum.

    It seems very common these days to confuse OS with UI.

    It is a little hard to say that when you are trying to install the latest applications on your device and they don't install because they need 2.1 or 2.2 to even install.
