I had this exact same error. I found that I could install PSFreedom once I had enabled the "Nokia Applications" and "Nokia System Software Updates" catalogues.

its now possible to burn games to dvd -/+ just use nero burn it as a data disk imagine that the /GAMEZ folder is the disk and plonk your backed up game the same way you would on an external hard drive, burn. load up backup manager (no game icon will appear) launch.enjoy!!

tried still same error ..i can use xterminal version but not gui

finally installed psfreedom.has any news come up about playstation team stopping this or even catching people?

if your worried. just goto settings>internet settings and disable the internet connection but im pretty sure all they can do is prompt you to update.

Never mind all my questions, I simply installed the GUI version psfreedom and then used WinSCP to copy the patched ''psfreedom.ko'' to the folder

/opt/psfreedom/modules/omap1

It's now working for me with the option to load my backups etc. can't wait for all the homebrew which will soon come

I had successfully jailbroken my ps3 and made a copy of drakes fortune which i could later play from the copied version. However when i followed the same steps today the jailbreak works and the backup manager opens but i cannot select my game using the ps3 remote. It does not even show me the options it showed me last time where X was for loading the game and o was to make a backup.

Did anyone have a similar problem? Any solutions?

Update. I just found out the reason. I was using the ps3 bluray bluetooth remote instead of the dualshock. After using the dualshock it works.
