Key logger runs hidden in the background to record and monitoring pressed keystrokes taking screenshot .. Wonder if this could be done with N900.Yah Call it a Spy APP for your N900 .
There are already keyloggers for i.e. ubuntu (you have them in the official repository even), not sure if they are even in a scripting language (perl/python) or if you will have to recompile them to make it work in the n900.
But the main problem with the idea is that you don't need a keylogger, you need a fingerlogger, as good part of the interaction with the device is thru the touchscreen (even the on screen keyboard could play a part therel.
keyloggers aren't so simple, you really need to be prepared to reflash when messing with this type of thing.
Here's some reading material http://www.phrack.org/issues.html?is...id=14&mode=txt http://www.epanastasi.com/?page_id=52
Hopefully you can understand at least that custom kernel modules and intercepting syscalls is too low-level to just take from one linux device to another, and expect it to work.

A software keylogger would probably record keystrokes from an O/S soft keyboard like Microsoft, depending on where exactly it hooks into the operating system.
