Hi all, just wanted to let everyone know how to setup push email with Hotmail.

Open Menu>Settings>Mail for Exchange>

Then enter;

Username : Your username
Email Address ; Your Email Address @hotmail.com
Password; Your hotmail password
domain : leave empty
server : m.hotmail.com
Port : 443
Secure Connection : Yes

Then choose what you wish to sync, ie mail, calander and tasks and/or contacts.

You now have push email to your phone from Hotmail

You may get a "the server is currently under maintenance please try again later" if you get that message literally just try again after a few seconds and the phone will then sync and add a new account into your modest email client.

I am trying this now and it isn't working. I enter the first 4 items and then hit next, but it just sits there doing nothing endlessly. Any advice on what i may need to do different?

MfE will only work if ur company has set up OWA. you just enter your email and password and it does everything else for you

I think this is polling mail.

Blackberry has push mail, as RIM has the necessary technologies, patents and well-established partnerships with mobile carriers to implement real push mail in blackberry such that they could hold the dominant position in U.S. market.

You can have your mobile phones stay online all the time and then pull mails every second to imitate push mail, but still it's nothing comparing to real push mail.

Nevertheless, thanks for your sharing.
