I keep having the same problem with the Default Media Player every time I run it it says Updating/Refreshing media. The Music and videos it has cataloged do not play. Can anyone help me with this? I use canola usually, but I would prefer to use the default media player due to fact that it has the best video playing capability's. If there is any back way to refresh the Media catalog manually (like in canola) or any themes for the default player, I would be very interested

Why do you think that the Default Media Player has better video playing capability than MPlayer (which Canola uses)?

Just my own experience with music videos at high res. Canola while good at cataloging kind of sucks with video. Also Mplayer sometimes won't do so good with some things such as music videos, or Kung Fu movies.
