Application Catalog Crisis

We (in maemo team) have received some negative feedback about the quality of the current Application Catalog on maemo.org. Among other things people complained that some install files do not work and they can not install the selected applications at all.

No chance for one list on-line catalog of all applications with respective web links, as it used to be before ?

I simply get exhausted by efforts and time lost on looking for applications, libraries, taking hours.
The same job at Google.com takes minutes
and there are no misleading web links, misguiding web links,
a lot of useless text and still no on-line application catalogs
for OS2006, OS2006HE, OS2007.

One student can do that job in one day, saving our efforts, invaluable time.
What's wrong with Maemo .
No more financing, no more enthusiasm ?
