is there a way to set the default playback quality for youtube videos? i often plug my n900 into my tv for my kids to watch a bunch of videos on youtube and it would be nice if i don't have to keep selecting the playback quality at the beginning of each video.
Some bugs or kind of:
1. I've got album in FLAC without album tag, which consists of 2 CD, so there are 2 folders named "CD1 (blablabla)" and "CD2 (anotherblabla)". Each folder has the same cover file named "cover.jpg". But in Playlist View for CD2 cover is shown, but not for CD1.
2. I really miss configuration for paths to look media in with those type filters.
3. In latest release (or may be somewhere before) indexing is not working as supposed: after downloading music to my music folder (under ~/MyDocs/.sounds/) and launching MediaBox it doesn't find new media.

When I had the FM transmitter activated and I pause the playback, after a
few seconds the transmitter gets deactivated automatically by the system.
Could mediabox remember the setting and reactivate the transmitter when
continueing?
* love/star/favorite system with a special playlist to collect these selected tracks. this current bookmark-with-star is totally counterintuitive for me. maybe if a "heart" icon is next to star, it would make more sense.
Actually you don't select tracks with the star but set media bookmarks inside the track to quickly jump back to marked positions later.
For bookmarking tracks or folders, I recommend to use the shelf (which actually evolved from a bookmarking feature).
why did All Tracks move out of Files into Albums section in the latest build?
It's because many people don't look into the folders section and thus would not be able to find this. I think Albums is a better place for it. Anyway, the contents are the same, namely all tracks known to the index.
sidenote: maemo garage really sucks as a project management tool. compare it to anything reasonable, even sourceforge. not even going to mention github or bitbucket. no rss feeds = impossible to track anything that's going on with a project. is there a thread here somewhere that tracks work and comments on garage?
The title page of garage.maemo.org has news about projects. Personally, I only use garage for hosting the SVN repository. The real announcements about MediaBox are made on this forum and sometimes on my blog.
But IIRC there is a mailing list "commits" on garage to which you can subscribe to get notified about all SVN commits.

I implemented it while on the train today. It will be in the next release. Thanks for your suggestion which made it happen today.

This could be because of tracker on the N900 working slowly and unreliably. In that case, manually scan the folder for media. MediaBox doesn't have to wait for tracker.

The problem is that MediaBox doesn't know about the state of the FM transmitter. It just opens up the standard control panel applet for the transmitter and the rest is handled by Maemo.
