hi,
I have nitdroid 0.0.6 installed, which packages I need to uninstall before installing 0.0.8? ( multiboot, enhanced boot loader etc... )
thanks!
Just grab and run the auto-installer from devel. It'll remove anything unsupported and do the whole install itself. Make sure you back up anything on the SD card that you want to save though.
There are many many many ways to get around it. I just manually partitioned the SD, and resumed the auto-installer. See here for manually partition your sd disk, http://wiki.nitdroid.com/index.php?title=N900-install, only have to do steps 1-3, formatting will be by the auto-installer, good luck

hi!
this is what I get after step 3 (i have a 4gb sandisk micro sd hc 4 and used 2100 as <YOUR NUMBER IN MB>):
Checking that no-one is using this disk right now ...
OK
Disk /dev/mmcblk1: 124368 cylinders, 4 heads, 16 sectors/track
Old situation:
Units = mebibytes of 1048576 bytes, blocks of 1024 bytes, counting from 0

/dev/mmcblk1p2 0 - 0 0 0 Empty
/dev/mmcblk1p3 0 - 0 0 0 Empty
/dev/mmcblk1p4 0 - 0 0 0 Empty
New situation:

Device Boot Start End MiB #blocks Id System
/dev/mmcblk1p1 0+ 2099 2100- 2150399+ c W95 FAT32 (LBA)

/dev/mmcblk1p3 0 - 0 0 0 Empty
/dev/mmcblk1p4 0 - 0 0 0 Empty
Warning: no primary partition is marked bootable (active)
This does not matter for LILO, but the DOS MBR will not boot this disk.
Successfully wrote the new partition table
Re-reading the partition table ...
If you created or changed a DOS partition, /dev/foo7, say, then use dd(1)
to zero the first 512 bytes: dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/foo7 bs=512 count=1
(See fdisk(8).)
/home/user #
also, the yellow error message bar appears telling me format is not supported.

That error log appears to relate to some kinda game, not NITDroid so not much I can advise you with that.

Try pressing B and see if that allows you into Maemo. If not, you need to re-flash.
Word of advice, error messages are there to tell you something went wrong. It's generally best to find out what the cause is before you carry on doing things that could potentially brick your phone.
