no joke, i already had the same idea
Is there a call-a-taxi-because-im-too-drunken function in the QtMobility library?

If i would be able to upload to extras-devel again, there would be a calculator which gives you the time when you are allowed to drive your car again.

Currently there is no binary in your installation directory, i'm playing around since hours to get it working again. Packaging sucks

I installed this from Faster Application Manager and only the images were installed in /opt/drinkcounter.

I solved it by in xterm (reinstall doesn't work):
Code:
root
apt-get remove drinkcounter
apt-get install drinkcounter
So whoever installed it and didn't work try this.

To the developer:

You can also add preinstalled millilitres and alcohol:

Ex: In settings you add a textbox to enter the Standard shot sizes (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shot_glassj. Then add two buttons in drink selection the user can choose 'Single' or 'Double' size which adds automatic ml.

You could also try and ask for information at this website: http://www.ou.edu/oupd/bac.htm. They may also give you the formula on how to calculate when it's to much if you don't have it already. You can then add a database of common drinks and coctails with their respective alcohol consumption which is preinstalled with the application and the user can choose from the list. Of course the user should be able to add his/her own drinks.

This is a link that should help to know if you're drunk: http://www.brad21.org/bac_charts.html

These should help with the creation of databases of alcohol content in common drinks: http://www.alcoholcontents.com/ and http://www.alcoholcontents.com/Liquor/liquor.htm

**Edit** So sorry I forgot to thank you for this wonderful app. Very useful for us kids **

**Edit2** About the taxi thing I think you should add an dialogbox to pop out when closing the app if the user is drunk if he/she wants to call a cab. In settings the user should add a preinstalled number to a taxi company. I don't think anyone will go drinking very far away on a normal weekend. The problem is even if you get your GPS location, where will you get a list of taxi cabs with numbers by location? I think manual entry is the way to go.

The nexte planned features are:
- include eating in calculation
- be able to change the drinktime
- make bill (which will be horrible on the next day :P )
- be able to create more than 15 drinks
- portrait mode

For the taxi thing, i would need qtmobility. I dont know how to use external libraries yet, I'll see.

Can you test if the current release is stable? the last version often closes itself.

Have fun and go drinking

Works like a champ now - I do have a feature request though: The option to export the party history to xml or something. And as a bonus maybe have import plus some comparision graph (each party is shown as a line with a different color).

As the various parties start at different times they would of course need to be mapped relatively.

At any rate, thanks for a cool app!
