He's demonstrating a way for us Mortals to measure Steve Jobs' ego.

imo the best part of the interview seems to be this portion

4 Must Haves

Peter casually mentioned that if you're missing one of these you're dead:

* Delicious hardware
* Cloud services
* A rich user interface
* Developer ecosystem

Delicious hardware, if he is in charge of this part, I can expect the n9 to be a truly kickass powerful device.

Do you have any idea how long it takes to test stuff before its released? I would not be surprised if hardware for N9 has been locked down for about 6 months ago or maybe more. Of course this is just wild guess from some conversations with Nokia engineers.

I am not sure if this shows anything. It is not like Maemo is not well designed (from a design point of view), it is a an excellent design; simple and intuitive. From what I have tried with Meego, it is a similar concept regarding multitasking, but not much else can be said as there is not much that is working yet.

But this could mean that the N9 is much further into the future than most of us would like it to be. Besides, the Nokia Meego UX will be dictated by the Symbian UX, so there is definitely a chance that this new guy will bang his head into a Nokia wall.

All in all, I think hiring all these americans has one goal, and that is to get Nokia firmly into the north american marked. That is their main job, and not much more than that.

...and if he's not gesturing that? He's either telling everyone his fish-that-got-away story... or he's telling everyone a dysfunction story better explained to a doctor if it remains that way for more than four hours.

Reminds me of those old commercials... "I have a headache... this big..."
