I've installed Barriosquare and have the latest upodate (today) installed. I'm signed up with foursqare and during initial startup I entered credentials.

However I can't figure out exactly how to use BarrioSquare to checkin, or to find close locations.,

The initial gui comes up. Left to right I have
- settings
- "my information" which displays a map of where I am marked with a red flag. I see "0 badges". If I try to click on the red flag I get a blank pane. Under myfriends the 2nd tap shows some recommendations
- compass. This shows "Last checkin @" and my correct profile pic. Nothing's clickable
- blank square
- clock - empty white pane
- people -- empty white pane
- map - with just "add a venue"
- search
- refresh

So how exactly do I check in?

?

I also removed ~/.barriosquare & re-authenticated/setup, but once authenticated get same issues as above - except that the "map" button now shows some nearby locations

Ah figured it out -- once I cleaned up realised you have to scroll through the places list, click & then get the option to checkin (or can add new place)

It wasn't entirely intuitive, but I've not used any other 4SQ app before...

I was a bit thrown at first with the icons having no names on them to identify function, but now that I'm used to it (and used to manually hitting the refresh button after launching it) I really love the extra functionality it offers over my previous choice for Foursquare on Maemo: cotchin
