sorry my friend but i dont think that there will be a hack for 3.42 as 3.50 will be released tomorrow. it kinda took 3 years to find access into the ps3. and sony plugged the hole with 3.42.
so i really dont like your chances. as also no body is even working on it!
anyway even if using flash emmc or sd card of the N900
flash storage has less life days then hdd
plus if using it often and it started to messed up you lose your phone
for the other way you only loose a HDD or flash usb key
you can resize your partition on your big drive and use the free space win for a fat 32 partition
or change your ps3 hdd ....
Flash has limited WRITE cycles, not READ. There is no reason at all not to use the N900 for storing PS3 games if you want, as long as you don't plan to change them often. Its certainly safe for testing.
The biggest problem is it might not be fast enough and you won't fit many PS3 games on 27GB, a few PS3 games are so big they would fill it just for that one game. Also a few games will ONLY work on the PS3 HDD due to their file sizes, so its best if you are going to use this long-term to just stick a large HDD in your PS3.
For the record, I use my N900 all the time to store MKV HD files to play on my Blu-ray player. It works perfectly.
Same thing happening with me ... Until a few days ago everything worked fine .. I was able to load backups and all .. But now since 2 days ago, I've been unable to load backups .. I go in Backup Manager (the same one I've been using all along), select the backup I want to load, go back to the XMB expecting the backup to have loaded, but its not there ... I just see the disc game there ..
Note that I didn't change anything ... I'm using the same Backup Manager which worked for me before .. only its not working anymore ..
Me too. The only thing i've done though is let the psfreedom gui program do the update. maybe this is the problem? help. had it working. Not now.

Same here using the gui version which updated itself the other day to add new buttons ..tried tonight to use ..Backupmanager loads up and i can see the games on my External HDD but when i try to load one it just goes black screen and locks up..any ideas?

use the manual method to start and stop. thn the backup manager works properly.
