I may have suggested this somewhere before, but please make a feature so dbus-commands can be send to the recaller to control it.

FM-radio application would just need to have this dbus-interface also to record radio-program through recaller. Or actually any other application which would need to record some audio.

Get a dictaphone software (there are several in the repos). Recaller is an automatic phone call recorder with a manual function as bonus.

I would also like to add that I've been using recaller for months with zero issues (latest version). It's not the widget that's broken, you probably have a conflict.

Also, if it (very rarely) remains recording, shutting down, stopping recording, etc works and file is kept. I heard some of these issues with multiple instances of the widget. You sure you don't have 2 red thingies?

Sorry for asking

Maybe I was not clear in what i meant. I have tried Recorder from repositories and it has these buttons on screen. But I meant hardware button. For example kamera button as starty stop when in recording mode. As Recaller are a very good application with merly one button start stop on screen an addition of option to start/ stop recording with hardware button would make it an superb dictaphone.
Maybee there are such application already but I have not found any like this. But then again I might have ben a bad searcher.
cheers! (still loving recaller as it is )

Ah. No tools like that that I'm aware of, however, you should suggest this function to someone who maintains a dictaphone software.

Universal function is unlikely mainly because a large portion of use already have those buttons do something (shortcutd). It is however possible for a dictaphone software to respond to camera button while running.

Suggest it?

Now here is a weird issue..

I installed recaller.. and after realizing i was not using it at all, i decided to uninstall it.

I did uninstall it through the AppManager.. but it keeps showing the banners whenever i make a call, and it still shows on the "add widget" menu for the desktop.

apt uninstall or dkpg -r wont do the job (its allready uninstalled.. or it seems).

Any idea how can i fix this ?
