Im quite an idiot....
the button is called "Secure device"
Don t touch if you're not sure of your lock code!!!
Fortunately mine was easy to find.....55555!!!!!!
Tecnologies is not for bad memory man!

I'm so proud of my first thank, what a kind of thank!!! something to remember...
for your pleasure I work in computer graphics.... nothing dangerous. of course, sometime some file desappear from HD but notning very important like my n900!!!

Odd - on mine, that just brings up the keypad & I have to enter the current lock code in order to secure the device. Tapping outside the dialog just returns to normal. I'm not sure how you can actually lock the device without actually entering the lock code.

since i already set the code to my own code in the settings, it brings up the keypad to unlock, so it's already locked, and if i try to dismiss the keypad it offers to turn off the device


edit:btw, there is a thread for decoding your lock code somewhere in the forum

my n900 came with the default 12345 lock code

...month ago I use to enable a lock code "55555". I changed the default!

when you tap "secure device", the only way to get out is to fill the right code. that's all!
