is there a way to see if the current GSM connection is encoded?

Encoded or encrypted?
If you mean the former, it is.
If you mean the latter, it also is. Though, depending on where in the world you are, this encryption might be terrible, bad, or simply poor.

It can also be non encrypted. The base station can ask mobile terminal to switch to unencrypted connection. Some of the spying technologies for GSM does just that.

I mean the encrypted part

I want to code a programm that shows a warning when the Network requests a non encrypted connection.

So i need to ask the GSM Modul if the connection is encrypted or not.

And my question is, how can i do that.

Maybe using Nokia's Phonet protocol?
