Follow the steps and enjoy new fonts on your nokia N900:
1) download any font.ttf from any reliable site (ex:wonderfonts.net, simplythebest.net/fonts)
2) open file manager and copy the font.ttf file to documents folder.
3) now open X-terminal and do the following commands:
sudo gainroot
mkdir ~/.fonts
mv ~/MyDocs/.documents/type your font name.ttf ~/.fonts/
(Note: there must be a space between mv and ~ and also .ttf and ~)
And thats it.
now use font changer to use your favorite font.
font changer should be available on app manager.
