Isn't rdesktop mostly for use in the local network?
What i seek is secure remote control over the internet, as the 2 mentioned services offer.

If you've got a Linux based router, you could tunnel VNC over SSH.
Does anyone know of an application like TeamViewer for the N900, or maybe knows if/how LogMeIn works on the N900?
VNC is not usable for my purposes.
