Just as in Scout, with Calendar Home Widget I ran into a minor bug: If the ampersand '&' is included in an event, the entire event will not show in the widget. Please have a look.
Further more the widgewt does not update in the morning: on thursday 30th ir still indicates wednesday 29th in the heading even when I check üpdate when swith to desktop"in the settings. It updated when appointments were added when I synchonized with outlook.
Hey nicolai,
great widget, love the improvements for tasks and the all day bugfix.
I have a feature request:
Day names for events that are within 7 days as an option to enable.
To better explain, currently we have:
Today Event name []
30/09 Event name2 []
01/10 Event name3 []
12/10 Event name4 []
What I would love, would be to have the option to see:
Today Event name []
Thurs Event name2 []
Fri Event name3 []
12/10 Event name4 []
I added an option for week day names (for all events
and not just for the current week)
It shows week day names and the date. But it disturbs the
layout.
I'm facing a strange problem. It happened twice this week.
The problem seems to be related to birthdays. Yesterday (Sunday), it was the birthday of a friend of mine and this event was shown on the widget correctly. But this morning I found the widget still showing yesterday's date and my friend's birthday as the event of the day ("Update when switching to the desktop" is not set).
This same thing also happened last Thursday-Friday with another birthday. Both days it happened, there was no other event than the birthday itself. However, Saturday I had two birthdays (and nothing else) and the date had changed correctly when I checked on Sunday morning.
Another strange thing is that the birthday from Thursday and one of the birthdays from Saturday, show-up on the calendar, but the other Saturday birthday and Sunday's one do not appear on the calendar...
To try to provide a better description of the problem, a few moments ago I changed the widget's configuration to show the weekday, and now it shows today events, but it still shows yesterday's date (Sunday Oct/10) on top.
After that, I also checked "Updated when switch to the desktop" but nothing changed. But when I unchecked it to go back to my old configuration, the date was updated. So at this moment it's showing the correct information, but it took me several configurations manipulations.
Someone else has seen something like this? Is this a widget problem or is my calendar database corrupted? Thanks.
thank you for reporting this. It is almost certainly
a problem with the widget. I had to change some parts
to include tasks. The difference is that task and
birthday event looks similiar like allday events. But don't
have the same end-time as allday events.
