Uhm, I just found this thread and I'm fighting with the same problem. In my case I want to do stuff on the n900 using x-forwarding but many apps don't grab the keyboard, for example nxclient. It works fine but I can't type. I tried the latest binary qobi posted but when I run it it says:
Code:
Nokia-N900:/home/user# ./set-focus 0x3800001
./set-focus: relocation error: ./set-focus: symbol __isoc99_sscanf, version GLIBC_2.7 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference
Any clues? What do I need to do? I also see that the power-button-workaround does not work in PR1.2 anymore.

Help appreciated

btw: can't xprop be used to set some obscure WM_HINT or something? Also, even though the window doesn't receive any keyboard input, xprop (run using ssh -X btw) reports:
Code:
WM_HINTS(WM_HINTS):
		Client accepts input or input focus: True
		Initial state is Normal State.
		bitmap id # to use for icon: 0x380001f
		bitmap id # of mask for icon: 0x3800020
That says True on the first one...

Qole, can you please tell us under what name you put jebba's Etch version of wmctrl into the Extras-devel repo? I cannot seem to locate it.

Thank you.
